This 3 Day safari will take you to Uganda’s largest parks known as Murchison Falls National Park, situated in Northwestern Uganda on an area of 3,840 sq km, The park was gazette in 1926 as a game reserve. It is classified with Savannah grass lands and the Victoria Nile that flows through separating it into two (the northern and southern bank). Murchison Falls is home to over 451 bird species such as the Great blue Turaco, Goliath heron, the Shoebill, and the dwarf kingfisher among others, 76 mammal species, a big number of Nile crocodiles and above all the magnificent and thunderous Murchison Falls squeezing their way through a gorge that is 8m wide.
After Breakfast, our driver picks you up from your Hotel and we set off to Murchison Falls National Park via Kampala – Luwero and Karuma Road. There are opportunities of Site seeing along Kampala-Gulu High way especially at Karuma Falls along River Nile. It’s a 6 hour drive to our Accommodation Center Heritage Lodge which is located inside the park on the banks of River Nile.
We check in at Heritage Cottages, freshen up and then Diner is served at 7:00PM
We wake up early morning at 5:00am, Breakfast is parked for us and we board our Vans for early morning game drive. This game drive is truly amazing as it will give you a chance to see several wildlife species including some of the Big 5 such as lions, elephants, giraffes, African buffaloes, warthogs, water bucks among many others. In the Afternoon, we will enjoy a Boat cruise along the River Nile and Hiking to the top of the Murchison falls
After Breakfast, We drive to Kampala.
